Areas of Practice: Corporate Commercial and First Nations Economic Development/General Litigation (tribunal and courtroom experience is an asset)

Location: primary office is in Kamloops, BC (a hybrid work-from-home schedule is available)

Base Salary: commensurate with experience, range from $70,000 – $110,000 per year

Additional Compensation: generous profit-sharing, up to 50%, after certain targets reached

The preferred candidate will have two or more years of relevant experience.

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

We are seeking an administrative assistant who can provide support to the Chief Operating Officer while also carrying out receptionist duties at our firm. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing administrative, operational and financial support to the COO and the management team.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and update files, records, databases, and systems related to the COO and the management team.

· Enter and verify data into various software and platforms, such as invoices, receipts, expenses, inventory, etc.

· Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, such as paying third-party vendors, reconciling credit card statements, and processing payments.

· Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the COO.

· Answer and direct phone calls, greet and assist visitors, and manage the mail, fax and courier services for the office.

· Maintain the office supplies, equipment, and facilities, and report any issues or needs to the appropriate person.

Qualifications:

· At least one year of experience as an executive assistant, administrative assistant, or a similar role.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

· Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

· Experience with data entry and bookkeeping

· Friendly, courteous, and customer-oriented attitude.

This position is full-time permanent and the preferred candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday during business hours. We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and a collegial and fun work-environment with staff events and socials.
